The Wisconsin Wolfpack tryout held on Saturday, January, 9, 2010, at Keva Sports Complex in Middletonwas a huge success with over 75 participants from across the upper Midwest. Prospective players came from as far as Indianapolis, Ind., to see if they have what it takes to "Run with the 'Pack" in 2010. Many of the players from last season's inaugural Wolfpack team attended the tryout, including former Wisconsin Badgers Kurt Ware and James Kamoku, UW-Platteville standout Reggie Davis, one of the top offensive rookies in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) in 2009, running back Eric Donoval, and veteran indoor player Corey Roberson. Among the new hopefuls were former Badger defensive back Josh Nettles and Division 2 standout Taz Landry, a defensive end from Winona State. Landry recorded the best pro agility time of all linemen at the tryout. Several members of the back-to-back Ironman Football League (IFL) champion Madison Mustangs, one of the top adult amateur teams in the country, as well as players from other IFLĀ teams were in attendance as well. Prospective players represented all levels of football, from some of the top major programs in the country to successful Division 2 and Division 3 schools. The tryout was so successful that the Wolfpack are considering whether future tryouts that the team initially planned to have in Southeast Wisconsin are necessary. The Athletic Republic of Madison sponsored the Top Performer Award in the 40-yard dash, 3-cone drill, and pro agility shuffle for both skill position players and linemen. The top performer in each event received one month of free training at the Athletic Republic of Madison and a free Athletic Republic t-shirt. The winners are: SKILLĀ POSITIONS
